From the Desk of the VP of Marketing & P.R.
My name is Philip Maxfield
and I serve as the Chapter’s P.R. & Marketing Vice President. My job is
to market the Chapter’s programs and initiatives throughout the community and to
oversees all promotion to the public of the art form
that is performed by the River Cities Jubilee Chorus.
I’m constantly creating and maintaining public awareness of the Chapter’s events
like our Annual Fall Show, Singing Valentines, and our Christmas Show.
My family has a history of barbershop style singing. My dad got me involved
when I was five years old by posing in a photo op. My dad sang with the “Singing
Buckeyes” of Columbus, Ohio, and I’ll never forget the day when his quartet did
an outward spread and I was on my knees dead middle doing my own outward spread during
a photo opportunity. I felt my days of barbershop singing had started right
there — I was hooked. My mom was a Sweet Adeline as well. I also sang
throughout my school career. You could say that I was surrounded by musicians.
My goal is to make the NW La. Chapter shine in the best light possible. I
want to do what I can to give other fathers that same
opportunity, like my dad did with me, with their sons.
You can be a huge help to the NW La. Chapter’s marketing
endeavors. Tell a friend, a co-worker, or a family member about
our cool organization. They will thank you for it.
The Chapter is affiliated with numerous organizations that assist us in our goals.
